Flatshares in Morocco: find a room or a roommate
Sharing an apartment has become the easiest way to find a home in Morocco's big cities. Splitting the rent two or three ways cuts costs, opens up central neighbourhoods that would otherwise be out of budget, and means you don't have to settle into a new city alone.
Roomee brings together rooms in shared flats and people looking for a roommate in Casablanca, Rabat, Marrakech and Tangier. You see who already lives there, what your room really costs, and you talk to the household directly, with no agency involved.

Frequently asked questions about flatsharing in Morocco
How much does a room in a flatshare cost in Morocco?
It mostly depends on the city and the neighbourhood. As a guide, a room in an apartment shared by three rents for around 1,000 to 3,700 MAD a month in Casablanca, and 2,200 to 3,200 MAD in Rabat. Each city page breaks budgets down neighbourhood by neighbourhood.
How do I find a reliable roommate?
Start by comparing profiles: budget, working hours, habits (smoking, pets, guests) and move-in date. Then chat in the messaging and meet before you sign anything. Our guides cover the right questions to ask.
Do I need to sign a lease for a flatshare?
Yes, it is strongly recommended. Either every roommate signs the same lease with the owner, or one main tenant signs and hosts the others, which as a rule requires the owner's written consent. Put the split of rent and bills in writing too.
Does Roomee cost anything?
No. Creating a profile, listing a room, browsing listings and messaging other members is free. There are no agency fees.
I rent a whole apartment and have a spare room: can I list it?
Yes. Create a tenant account, then publish your flatshare from “My flatshare”. You set the rent per room, the bills and the kind of roommate you're looking for, and requests come straight to you.
